To ensure that delicate paper drawings and fragile historic photo negatives are not exposed to excessive handling, light, or dust, the reading room at Historical Egypt operates on a structured weekly schedule. Study desks must be reserved in advance by accredited architectural historians and preservation researchers.

Archiving & Technical Maintenance Shifts
On Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, our technical team conducts paper preservation and high-resolution scanning shifts. During these periods, physical drawing cabinets are locked to ensure the safety of the documents, but already digitized metadata sheets remain accessible on study laptops.
Research Group Briefings
We organize structured group briefings for university design faculties and conservation teams on Sunday mornings. These sessions offer a detailed overview of the registry's filing system and showcase notable recent document discoveries. Sessions must be scheduled at least 10 working days in advance.
